Join my sk8ting journey.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, sorry! But don’t worry, I haven’t given up on skating.

I’m STILL trying to learn how to ollie properly :/ and now it’s getting really frustrating, you can see from the video what I am doing.

I really need some advice on how to ollie, so please tell me what I’m doing wrong ):

New board - Finally!

So as I said before, I was going to get a new board. Well, I ordered one on Tuesday (after a week or two of research and thinking) and it arrived yesterday :D Quick deliveries FTW!!!

About my skateboard:

This is my first real skateboard and also my first time riding one, and seriously, the difference between one from a supermarket and a REAL one is so different.
I’m having trouble just riding it normally because this one rides so much smoother meaning I’m going faster, my balance is terrible and it sucks that I have to adjust. It’s like I have to learn to skate all over again -___-” On the otherhand, an advantage is that I already learnt how to roughly ollie on my old one so doing it on my new one isn’t as hard… HOWEVER, once again because the wheels or whatever are so smooth, im finding it harder to ollie on this board because it moves so much. It feels like one step forward, two steps back >___>
I guess it’s my fault that I didn’t buy a real one at the start, but it hasn’t been all bad since it made me do a lot of research so now I know a lot more about skateboards :D I even had fun taking apart my old board.

All in all, it’s been a good experience and now I’m glad I can finally start learning to skateboard for real and I hope you guys continue to support me!
On a side note my first exam starts Monday D: and I don’t even get study leave! But yeah, I hope everyone else who has GCSE exams or other exams the VERY best, Goodluck, study hard and have fun!!! (except the last part… )

I don’t think I can wait until the end of my GCSEs to start skating again D: I have my eyes on an enuff board, they look good enough for my ability and budget :D I shall buy it within the next week unless something pops up haha

Gaaaaawwwwwwddddd. I miss failing at tricks. I miss going speedy up and down my road. I miss jumping up and down. I MISS SKATEBOARDING D:

i have no clue what that brand is haha i'm from Connecticut so if it's a local brand from where you are I have no clue. If you post on facebook who has old, trucks, bearings, wheels, and a board i could have you can eventually get all the parts together, the speed of good bearings, and feeling of concave on the board of a better deck makes everything way different and better!

Ah i see, i’ll definitely consider getting pieces together, but it’s just at the moment it seems cheaper just to get a £30 complete board, then buying seperate pieces which could add up to a lot more. However I could possibly buy a complete board then adjust pieces at a time, so over a longer period of time the cost won’t be so much. What do you think about that?

Sad Times…

So my cheap ass skateboard [finally] broke xD it lasted about… 2 and a half weeks?

At first only a bit broke off, then as I did more ollies, the whole thing came off :L

I guess it’s time to buy a real skateboard, -sigh- time to do research and decide which one to buy. Any advice would be welcomed c:

Seems like I have to put skateboarding aside for at least a few weeks [TT__TT]… I’ll use this time wisely to concentrate on my GCSEs!

Been spending too much time skating that I’ve pretty much neglected my GCSEs… Not good! But skating is so much more fun and addictive D:
Ahh well, at least I’ve improved on my ollie and should be able to pop shove it… Soon c:

Today, I think I’m going to attempt to learn the pop shove it and see how that turns out. If I fail badly, I’ll go back to practicing the ollie. Wish me luck!!! :]

Progress: Ollie

Ahahaha… seems like my hours of practice, as well as the massive bruise on the side of my leg, has paid off..! Progress, however small, is still progress… Photobucket Photobucket

hey,
i have been skating for a longggg time, i am a girl and this is really cool that you are starting it gets frustrating but keep at it, and a tip! get a good board to start with ask around for peoples old parts and put together a board made of real companies stuff because switching from a crappy board to a real one makes things really difficult

Thanks for the tip!!! :D I’ll carry on working hard!
Ahhh I never knew switching from a crappy board to a good one would be so difficult .__.” but getting parts together seem so confusing x_x what if I just bought one from a good company? I’m thinking of getting a renner skateboard since I’ve heard their alright and relatively cheap, what do you think?
